Our verdicts
Xiaomi Redmi A3x (Rs. 18,999): The cheaper of the two and the better pick for everyday use: 3GB RAM vs 2GB on the Spark Go 2, at Rs. 1,000 less. The camera is weaker (8MP vs 13MP), but with 2–3GB RAM, multitasking matters more than megapixels.
Tecno Spark Go 2 (Rs. 19,999): The better camera of the two (13MP vs 8MP) at Rs. 19,999, but only 2GB RAM — expect slow app switching. Pick it only if the camera matters more than speed.
Just above Rs. 20,000
If you can stretch the budget a little, these three phones are the closest alternatives — all under Rs. 24,000.
Verdicts: just above Rs. 20,000
Xiaomi Redmi A3 (Rs. 20,999): Rs. 999 above the budget, but 4GB RAM instead of 3GB — the smallest step up that actually changes daily use.
Tecno Spark Go 1 (Rs. 22,999): 4GB RAM and a 13MP camera at Rs. 22,999 — the balanced step up if you can stretch a little more.
Sparx Neo 8 Pro (Rs. 23,499): The best step up of the three: 4GB RAM and 128GB storage at Rs. 23,499 — double the storage of the other two for Rs. 3,499 over the Rs. 20,000 line.
