Best Camera Phones in Pakistan: Beyond Megapixels
The megapixel number is the most quoted and least useful camera spec on its own. A good camera phone is decided by its sensor, stabilisation, processing and lenses — in that order.
Megapixels are not quality
A 200MP sensor can still take worse photos than a good 50MP sensor if its pixels are tiny and its processing is poor. The catalogue lists phones with up to 200MP main cameras, but treat that number as a starting point, not a verdict. Sensor size, pixel size and the image processor matter more.
Stabilisation and lenses
Optical image stabilisation (OIS) is the single most valuable camera feature for everyday photos and video: it rescues low-light shots and steadies video. An ultrawide lens is genuinely useful for landscapes and groups; a low-quality macro or depth lens adds little. Check the official spec sheet for OIS and the real lens set, since the catalogue lists the main camera only.
Processing and night mode
Two phones with the same sensor can produce very different photos because of processing — colour, HDR and night mode. Before buying, look at full-resolution sample photos (not compressed social-media posts) from the exact model, in daylight and at night.
