Snapdragon vs MediaTek: Which Chipset Is Better?
Snapdragon (Qualcomm) and MediaTek (Dimensity and Helio) make the chips in most Android phones. The brand name tells you less than the chip's tier — and that is the honest way to compare them.
Tier beats brand
Both companies make chips from budget to flagship. A current upper-tier MediaTek chip beats an older mid-range Snapdragon, and vice versa. Comparing only the brand name is like comparing car makers without looking at the model.
Where they typically differ
As a broad pattern, Snapdragon's flagship and upper-tier chips have historically led on sustained performance and camera processing, while MediaTek's Dimensity range often offers strong performance per rupee in the mid-range. These are tendencies, not rules — individual chips break them in both directions, and efficiency depends on the exact chip and the phone's cooling.
What to check instead
Check the exact chip in the official spec sheet, then look for sustained-performance impressions (long gaming sessions, not launch-day benchmarks) and battery results for that exact phone model. Two phones with the same chip can still differ because of cooling and software.
A note on this site's data
MobileZone does not yet list chipsets per phone, so this guide deliberately names no catalogue model as having a particular chip. Use the Smart Finder for RAM, battery and camera, and confirm the chipset from the official specs before buying.
